Bankruptcy Milwaukee

Consumer Rights Project (Milwaukee)

Meet with clients, evaluate for merit, advise clients on issues concerning Bankruptcy, and provide brief services for credit harassment issues in libraries in Milwaukee. Staff is on-site to answer questions and provide resources.


Project Hours: Third Tuesday of each month, 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.


The VLP asks volunteer lawyers to do the following:

  • Interview clients to assess the merits of their claims;
  • Provide advice that is tailored to the client’s factual situation;
  • Provide brief services if necessary for credit harassment issues such as drafting a Cease and Desist letter; and
  •  Identify cases that will require extended representation.
